Mike Auldridge was a founding member of Washington D.C.ís legendary bluegrass band, "The Seldom Scene." Before, during and since the "Scene," Mike has been involved in several hundred recording projects in a variety of musical styles. These include bluegrass, pop, country and swing music. Mike has recorded with such luminaries as Linda Ronstadt, Emmy Lou Harris, Dolly Parton, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Hank Williams, Jr., Suzy Boggus, and Merle Travis, to name but a few.

In addition to his studio work, Mike has eight Mike Auldridge "solo" recordings available on three different labels. he also has Dobro instruction videos available through "Mike Auldridge Productions" (www.mikeauldridge.com).

His music can also be heard occasionally on the sound tracks of several television shows. In addition to "The Seldom Scene, "Mike's band memberships also included "Chesapeake," a bluegrass/folk/country/rock combo in which he played dobro, lap steel and pedal steel for five years. Most recently he was a member of a bluegrass band with Jimmy Gaudreau and Richard Bennett, known as "Auldridge, Bennett and Gaudreau."
