ACOUSTIC DISC LAUNCHES SNEAK PREVIEW OF ACOUSTIC OASIS

Acoustic music lovers can preview the new download website, AcousticOasis.com with new digital releases produced by David Grisman to commemorate two important landmarks in his 45 year career as mandolinist, composer, band-leader and record producer

Tuesday, October 7th, is the 30th anniversary of the first "Dawg Music" recording session with violin legend Stephane Grappelli. On that date Acoustic Oasis releases "Grappelli/Grisman - the First Session" containing all the previously unissued takes that were recorded that day, including the Grisman originals, "16-16," "Dawg Patch" and his popular arrangement of the Reinhardt/Grappelli classic, "Minor Swing." Also featured on this historic date are guitarist Tony Rice, mandolinist Mike Marshall and jazz-great Eddie Gomez on bass.

More releases are forthcoming from AcousticOasis.com. They include previously unissued live and studio recordings, videos, and "Acoustic Encounters" all from the amazing archives of David Grisman spanning 40 years of acoustic music making.
