1924 Vega Model K Tango Banjo
This is essentially a 4-string mandolin-banjo made by the Vega company in Boston during the height of the “jazz age”, which they called a “tango banjo.” This instrument has all original hardware including friction pegs and bridge, but is missing the tailpiece cover. The mahogany neck is straight with minimal fret wear and a bit of wood chipped off the back of the headstock which doesn’t affect its functionality. The English style cardboard case is coming apart but will serve to house this rather rare commodity in shipping.
$1,200 with case as described
