This week we’re spotlighting David Grisman’s tribute to the father of bluegrass music, Bill Monroe. Dawg Plays Big Mon – Happy Birthday Bill Monroe features David playing a wide variety of Monroe tunes with Red Allen, John Hartford, Old & in the Way, Tony Rice, Doc Watson and many others. Also included is Dawg’s own composition, “Happy Birthday Bill Monroe.”
