1927 Epiphone Recording Art Deluxe Plectrum Banjo

This 1927 Epiphone Recording Art Deluxe Plectrum Banjo “Dragon” model is a rare and beautiful beast featuring a peghead inlaid with an engraved pearl dragon. The ebony neck is bound with ivoroid and wood marquetry and the heel is carved. The walnut resonator features alternating strips of marquetry, surrounded by an inlaid wood design.  All metal parts are gold-plated and engraved, including the deluxe Grover tuners with pearl buttons.



This instrument is in excellent original condition with mild fretwear, and some tarnishing of the plating on the flange. The neck is straight and the tone is rich.
