1931 B&D Silverbell Montana No. 3 Tenor Banjo

This highly decorated, gold-plated tenor banjo was made in Groton, Connecticut in 1931. It is in excellent original condition with original hardware, including the Soft pedal mute which was standard equipment on all the Silverbell models after 1925. With a carved heel in its white holly neck, engraved pearloid fingerboard and rhinestone encrusted, engraved pearloid headstock veneer, deluxe planetary tuners with pearl buttons and a seldom seen fingerboard extension, this deluxe “Montana” model, named after the popular banjo artist, Ray Montana, was still a midline instrument. It sounds and plays great with a straight neck and little fret wear. Comes in its original hardshell case with zipper plush inner lining.
