1935 Gretsch Model 100 Archtop Guitar

This rarely seen (or heard) Gretsch Model 100 is a vey fine archtop guitar,  patterned after the classic 16” Gibson L-5 designed by Lloyd Loar.  This particular instrument was played by guitarist Martin Taylor on our 1995 Acoustic Disc release, Tone Poems II (check out the audio file). It is completely original and in excellent playing condition. The original pick guard has suffered from the usual “gassing” condition, which has not affected either the instrument or its (non-original) Gretsch hardshell case. It is still functional but has been removed from the instrument and will be included in the sale.
