1963 Martin 0-16NY Guitar
Here’s a 63 year old Martin guitar, often called the “folksinger’s favorite.” The “NY” designation is a tribute to the early Martin guitars made in the original New York factory prior to the move to Nazareth, Pennsylvania in 1839. The guitars made at that time were twelve frets to the body, slotted peghead instruments of which the largest model was the “0” size with its 14” lower bout, sitka spruce top with mahogany back and sides. The fretboard is rosewood, as is the bridge.
Overall condition is excellent with only a small crunch in the back which was professionally repaired long ago. Action is good and the tuners have been upgraded to deluxe gold plated engraved Waverlys.
$3,250 with recent Martin Deluxe hard case
