1970 Vega Earl Scruggs Model II 5-string Banjo #M130013
In my opinion the Vega Scruggs model banjos are under-rated. Earl had input into the design of these models and played them often. Of course when compared to his legendary flathead Granada, almost any banjo would fall short, but this Vega is a very serviceable instrument for many styles of banjo playing from old-time to bluegrass, traditional and contemporary. In excellent condition, the label says w. Keith, which I assume refers to the Keith tuners designed by my friend. banjo genius Bill Keith, but they apparently left no trace of being installed.
