Bertram Levy and Peter Ostroushko
This beautiful recording, released on LP by Flying Fish Records in 1986 features two legendary masters of traditional American folk forms — Bertram Levy and the late Peter Ostroushko. Bertram is one of the foremost anglo-concertina players in North America and the author of Demystifying the Anglo, the first tutor of this unique instrument since the 19th century. Peter was the musical director for Prairie Home Companion and plays mandolin and fiddle. This project is a heartfelt tribute to Ukranian, Jewish and Anglo-American roots, now re-mastered in the high-definition (24 bit, 96 khz) format. We are proud to make this musical gem available again for the first time in decades.
