The Del McCoury Band with Peter Rowan & David Grisman
On January 28, 2000, the award-winning Del McCoury Band took the stage in Palo Alto, California for a sold-out concert. In attendance were two old friends, bluegrass veterans and Old & in the Way alumni, Peter Rowan and David Grisman. Towards what would have been the end of their second show, Del invited Red and Dawg up to play a few tunes. They played ten!
Fortunately, this Bluegrass Summit was captured (with one microphone) and now, over a quarter of a century later, this special performance is available for fans of traditional bluegrass to appreciate. As Ronnie McCoury put it, “You can hear how much fun, love and respect we have for each other on this recording of a night that made for some great musical memories.”
