Guitar great Frank Vignola makes his Acoustic Disc debut with Blues for a Gypsy. The New York-based jazz virtuoso, who’s played with everyone from Les Paul and Tommy Emmanuel to Ringo Starr and Madonna, delves into acoustic solo renditions of gypsy-inspired music.

Displaying his finesse with original compositions "Gypsy Fire," "Gypsy Dreams" and the title track, Vignola pays homage to guitar legend Django Reinhardt ("Tears," "Manoir de Mes Reves") and performs unique gypsy-jazz interpretations of compositions by Charlie Parker ("Donna Lee"), Les Paul ("Cryin'") and Erroll Garner ("Misty").

Co-produced by David Grisman in 2001, Blues for a Gypsy was captured direct to 2-track analog, and delivers the exceptional sound quality and musical excellence that has become the hallmark of Acoustic Disc. This Deluxe Edition was remastered in the Hi-Definition (24 bit, 96 kHz) format and includes four previously unissued tracks.
