Dawg, Danny and mandolin innovator Radim Zenkl discuss and listen to selections from Radim’s landmark Acoustic Disc project, Galactic Mandolin.This unique recording features 13 original solo mandolin compositions, written in tunings where the pairs of strings are tuned to different intervals for each piece. This intercontinental conversation (Radim was in the Czech Republic) covers a wide range of topics including how the pieces were conceived, Radim’s various musical influences from jazz to bluegrass and how he met David at a Bill Monroe Concert in 1989.
