THE LIVING ROOM SESSION

David Grisman, Frank Vignola, Robin Nolan & Michael Papillo

This informal jam session was recorded in Seattle, Washington in January, 2007. Robin Nolan and Frank Vignola were playing at Dimitrou's Jazz Alley with the Seattle-based Gypsy Jazz group, Pearl Django and David and his wife Tracy had come by the club to hear them play, and sat in for a number or two. They all stayed that night in an apartment that Jazz Alley provides for musicians. The next day they had planned to do some recording with bassist Michael Papillo in the living room and invited Dawg to join them. This is the music they played — relaxed, spontaneous and inspired!
