This week we’re spotlighting Jacob do Bandolim – Mandolin Master of Brazil, Volume 1, the first American release of classic recordings by an incredible virtuoso, produced for Acoustic Disc in 1991. Jacob was the leading exponent of choro music, a traditional Brazilian genre which is now enjoying world-wide popularity, much like gypsy jazz and bluegrass.
