This week we’re shining the spotlight on The Gasoline Brothers featuring David Grisman and Tony Rice. The performances were recorded at two 1970s sessions, one at a radio station in Japan with banjo innovator Bill Keith and original DGQ fiddler Darol Anger) and the other in Dawg’s living room, with Bluegrass Boy Steve Arkin on banjo. Todd Phillips plays bass on both sessions. All the tracks have been re-mastered in the high-definition (24 bit, 96 khz) format, affording listeners the unique opportunity to enjoy this music in a sonically superior format.
