Dawg & Danny discuss and listen to selections from Oscar Alemán – Swing Guitar Masterpieces, a double-length collection of recordings made between 1938 and 1957 by this legendary Argentinian guitar virtuoso who, according to famed jazz critic Leonard Feather, could “out-swing” Django Reinhardt, his friend and rival. This historic Acoustic Disc project, released in 1997, was produced by David Grisman and is still available.
