Traversata

Dawg & Danny discuss and listen to selections from Traversata, a unique 2002 Acoustic Disc release, featuring David Grisman and Italian string masters, harp-guitarist Beppe Gambetta and mandolinist Carlo Aonzo. Traversata means “ocean crossing,” the means by which the first Italians migrated to America, and this project deals with the great music they brought with them and the music Italian Americans developed in America which traveled back to Italy and the rest of world.
